Lake Travis

Lake Travis Fishing Guide

Lake Travis offers some of the best bass fishing in the state of Texas. This 18,000 acre lake on the Colorado River is a classic highland reservoir with deep, clear water. Its primary structure consists of rocks, boulders, and ledges and has numerous boat docks along its shoreline that provide abundant shade and cover for a very healthy population of largemouth and Guadalupe bass. Up until 2014, the lake held the state record Guadalupe Bass and also has a good population of White Bass and a moderate density population of Striped Bass.

Lake Travis is a must see and experience destination. If you’re looking to catch a lot of fish, Lake Travis is the lake for you. While it is not known for producing trophy bass, the lake can surprise you with a Texas lunker. The Hill Country Bass Coach has been fishing this lake since 1996 and will put you on the fish.
